The Life Sciences Division of Madison Mechanical is led by Pat Goetz, PE who has extensive experience in the life science industry. Pat has worked in the design and construction field for 20 years and brings his vast professional engineering experience along with construction management experience for design-build construction projects in this field.
Completed Projects:
·Advanced BioScience Laboratories, Rockville, MD – Design and Construction of a 3 story, 70,000 ft2 laboratory facility. The project included the total renovation of an existing building. One floor included an eight suite GMP contract clean room facility totaling 22,000 ft2. One floor included R&D Laboratories and the remaining floor included administrative and mechanical support spaces. The project was designed, constructed and operating validation completed in a 14 month period. Total project cost is $15 million. ·Emergent Biosolutions, Gaithersburg, MD – Design-Build phased renovation of a 2 story, 55,000 ft2 laboratory facility. A project master plan was also developed to allow the fit out to yield a 35% energy savings. The lower floor included a total 4 phase renovation including Product development clean suites as well as R&D laboratories. The upper floor included administrative and support spaces. Each phase of the project was designed and constructed within a 4 month period. ·Emergent Biosolutions, Baltimore, MD – Design-Assist complete renovation of a 2 story, 70,000 ft2 GMP production laboratory facility. The building included a two suite, 35,000 ft2 contract manufacturing bio-production facility. Energy improvements to the building included heat recovery, high performance hoods, ECM motors and temperature central plant temperature adjustment. The facility is designed for two simultaneous contract product manufacturing streams.
